Company Description
The Central Catholic Library Association Inc. is a Dublin-based subscription library founded by the Irish Jesuit Fr Stephen Brown and opened to the public on 25 June 1922. It provides a welcoming space for readers, researchers and anyone with a love of books, offering a well-curated collection that spans theology, philosophy, literature and the arts. Members can explore the quiet reading room, browse the art room, or simply enjoy the pleasure of choosing a book from the shelves - a nod to the library's guiding motto, "We are what we read".
Beyond its extensive holdings, the library encourages community involvement through a voluntary membership scheme and offers personalised assistance for enquiries about its collections and services. While there are currently no scheduled events, the Central Catholic Library remains a vibrant cultural hub, preserving a rich literary heritage and fostering a lifelong love of reading across Ireland.
