I Teach Trad Designated Activity Company is a specialist provider of education and resources for Irish traditional music teachers. Founded by Dr Liz Doherty, an acclaimed musician and education expert, the organisation bridges the gap between performing and teaching, helping trad musicians transition into confident, effective educators.

Their flagship offering is the “Read Music the Trad Way” course – an online and live programme that teaches sight‑reading using a method devised specifically for traditional musicians. All courses, including the Foundation Certificate in Teaching Traditional Music, the TradLABB™ Card Deck short course and a range of workshops, are certified by the Royal Irish Academy of Music, giving teachers a recognised professional development credential. In addition, I Teach Trad supplies bespoke teaching resources and can design tailored workshops for schools, community groups or music organisations.
