The Stephen Moylan Foundation Company Limited by Guarantee is a registered Irish charity (RCN 20206728) established in 2022 to fill a vital gap in bereavement care for children and young people who have lost a parent. Drawing on the founders’ backgrounds in psychotherapy, counselling and youth work, the Foundation delivers trauma‑informed support nationwide, ensuring that no child faces parental loss alone.

Its core services include one‑to‑one counselling, school‑based assistance and advocacy, all tailored to help young people navigate grief in a safe, supportive environment. The organisation also equips parents, guardians and schools with expert guidance, resources and outreach programmes, fostering compassionate responses to bereavement across the education sector. Through events such as the postcard garden at Bord Bia Bloom and dedicated fundraising initiatives, the Foundation raises awareness and funds to sustain its vital work.

Led by CEO Susan Moylan, whose personal experience of loss inspired the charity, the Stephen Moylan Foundation remains committed to championing the emotional wellbeing of grieving children and advocating for improved public services and policy throughout Ireland.
