Company Description
Co-Operation Ireland is a peace-building organisation that works to create a stable, inclusive island where people of all backgrounds can live and work together. Drawing on its roots in Derry/Londonderry, the charity tackles the legacy of the past conflict by fostering contact and collaboration across the island of Ireland, with a particular focus on young people and marginalised communities that have felt the greatest impact.
The organisation runs a range of programmes designed to empower the next generation of leaders. Its flagship Future Leaders Programme offers intensive leadership development to 500 young people aged 14-17 from challenging backgrounds, while the Building Bridges initiative provides scholarships for Northern Irish youth to study at Yale University. Co-Operation Ireland also delivers community-focused projects such as the PEACEworks partnership, the annual SOLACE NI/CCMA Leadership Seminar, and a series of mural and arts projects that celebrate shared heritage.
Through these activities, Co-Operation Ireland aims to nurture dialogue, promote education and create lasting opportunities that contribute to a cohesive, peaceful society for all.
