The Royal Canal Amenity Group (RCAG) is a charitable company limited by guarantee dedicated to promoting recreation, heritage, education and tourism along Ireland’s 145 km Royal Canal linear parkway. Through a year‑round programme of canal‑related events, talks and guided walks, the group brings the history and natural beauty of the waterway to locals, visitors and schools, while supporting individuals and community organisations that wish to develop recreational, educational or environmental projects on the canal.

Key services include the organisation of guided walks from March to October, the production and sale of specialist publications such as *Guide to the Royal Canal* and *Walking the Royal Canal*, and the provision of practical resources for walkers, cyclists, boaters and anglers via the Greenway and Distance Table pages. RCAG also maintains an active events calendar, a regularly updated news and blog service, and a vibrant community of members who help champion the canal’s future.

Based along the Royal Canal from Mullingar to Dublin, the group works in partnership with Waterways Ireland, the Inland Waterways Association and local tourism bodies, offering a friendly, knowledgeable hub for anyone keen to explore, learn about or contribute to the preservation of this historic Irish waterway.
