THE CANDLE COMMUNITY TRUST

The Candle Community Trust is a vibrant, child-centred community project operating in Ballyfermot, Dublin 10 since 1978. Its core mission is to create a safe, empathic space where every young person feels welcome, respected and valued, fostering personal growth and responsibility through trauma-informed, best-practice support.

Candle delivers a comprehensive "wrap-around" service that includes educational and developmental programmes, a dedicated Therapeutic Space, Candle Home Liaison, and a Youth Service. These initiatives are designed to help young people reach their full potential across emotional, intellectual, physical, social and spiritual dimensions. By placing young people at the heart of its work, the Trust continually evolves its offering in response to the needs and aspirations of the community it serves.

The Trust's work is underpinned by strong partnerships with the Probation Service, the Department of Justice, City of Dublin ETB, City of Dublin Youth Services, Tusla and the HSE, whose ongoing support enables Candle to remain an oasis of healing and hope for Dublin's youth.
