Cats Trust Adoption and Protection Company Limited by Guarantee (Charity No. 20206641) is a national animal‑welfare charity dedicated to improving the lives of stray, feral and community cats across Ireland. Founded in 2010 by Catriona Leahy as Aughrim Cat Rescue, the organisation now operates a network of volunteers who carry out Trap‑Neuter‑Return (TNR) programmes, foster and socialise kittens, and rehome cats in need. Their work focuses on the over‑population crisis – an estimated 730,000 homeless cats nationwide – by providing humane, low‑stress solutions for cats living in back gardens, lanes, farms, car parks and other urban and rural settings.
