Company Description
Bulloch Harbour Preservation Association (BHPA) is a volunteer-run charitable organisation dedicated to celebrating and protecting the historic, maritime and natural heritage of Bulloch (also known as Bullock) Harbour, the small working harbour at the southern tip of Dublin Bay. The association acts as a liaison between harbour users, local residents and public bodies-including Dublin Port Company, Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council and Dalkey Tidy Towns-to ensure the harbour remains a vibrant, publicly accessible asset for fishing, boating, sea-scouting, angling, kayaking and wildlife enjoyment.
Through advocacy, community outreach and stewardship projects, BHPA works to safeguard the harbour's quays, basin and surrounding rocky outcrops, which provide one of the few seashore access points in Dalkey. Its voluntary committee, drawn from boat owners, sea-scouts, local councillors and tidy-town volunteers, coordinates conservation efforts, monitors planning applications and supports initiatives that enhance the harbour's environmental and cultural value for all visitors and the wider community.
