Galway Bay Sailing Club (GBSC) is a community-focused sailing and watersports organisation that brings the joy of the sea to people of all ages. Operating from Galway Bay, the club offers a wide range of certified courses - from introductory adult dinghy and keelboat sailing to specialised teenage sailing programmes and recognised powerboat qualifications.

For younger enthusiasts, GBSC runs outdoor water-based summer camps for children aged 7-11 and dedicated kayaking sessions for kids and teenagers, supported by a newly-established sea-kayak training centre funded by Bord Iascaigh Mhara. The club also welcomes members who may not own a boat, providing full access to equipment, instruction and club activities.

In addition to its educational programmes, GBSC hosts high-profile events such as the Aquabroker 1720 European Championship and participates in the iconic Rolex Middle Sea Race, reinforcing its reputation as a vibrant hub for sailing and marine sport in the west of Ireland.
