Company Description
Péarla Offshore Wind, a venture of Inis Offshore Wind, is an Irish renewable‑energy firm dedicated to unlocking Ireland’s vast offshore wind potential. Working in partnership with the Temporis Aurora Fund and investors such as the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund, the company is conducting early‑stage feasibility studies for the proposed Péarla Offshore Wind Farm – a project that could deliver up to 1 GW of clean electricity by 2030.
The team’s core specialisation lies in the end‑to‑end development of large‑scale offshore wind assets, from site‑selection and constraint analysis through to licensing, environmental impact assessment and stakeholder engagement. By coordinating public consultations and securing key consents such as the Foreshore Investigation Licence and Maritime Area Consent, Péarla Offshore Wind ensures that the project aligns with community interests and regulatory requirements.
Based off the south‑east coast of Ireland, the proposed wind farm would be situated at least 40 km offshore of Waterford and Wexford, covering an initial area of roughly 275 km². Péarla’s ambition is to contribute significantly to Ireland’s energy transition, providing a low‑carbon power source for the nation and its future generations.
