THE ASSOCIATION OF PATRONS AND TRUSTEES OF CATHOLIC SCHOOLS COMPANY LIMITED BY GUARANTEE

The Association of Patrons and Trustees of Catholic Schools (APTCS) is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee that serves as the national voice and support network for Ireland's Catholic primary and third-level schools. By bringing together patrons, trustees, school management bodies and related organisations, APTCS provides a central hub for information, resources and collaborative initiatives that help schools fulfil their mission of nurturing "normal lives, called to holiness".

Key services include the coordination of the annual Catholic Schools Week, the development of prayer and "Thought for the Day" resources, and the administration of a nationwide survey on primary schools to inform policy and practice. The association also maintains links with partner bodies such as the Catholic Primary Schools Management Association (CPSMA) and the Joint Management Board (JMB), and curates news and updates through the TheWay.ie feed. Through these activities, APTCS supports educators, families and communities across Ireland in delivering a faith-based education that balances academic excellence with spiritual growth.
