The Democratic Progress Institute-Europe (DPI) is an independent, non-governmental organisation that brings together international experts in conflict resolution and democratic advancement. Drawing on a Council of pre-eminent policy makers, academics and human-rights practitioners, DPI works to broaden public involvement in peace-building and democratic reform through a distinctive blend of research, expertise-sharing and practical dialogue platforms.

Its core activities are organised around five focus areas. DPI convenes inclusive round-table meetings that create safe spaces for stakeholders across society to explore peaceful solutions. It facilitates collaborative expertise-sharing, encouraging participants to identify common ground with other conflicts and to engage with seasoned transformation specialists. Through targeted mentoring, private-diplomacy initiatives and capacity-building programmes, DPI equips key actors with the skills needed for effective governance and human-rights advocacy. In addition, the institute conducts rigorous assessment meetings that analyse complex conflict dynamics and disseminates findings to inform long-lasting political resolutions. By championing the indivisibility of human rights and the rule of law, DPI safeguards vulnerable groups and helps shape a more peaceful future.
