NORTH IRISH SEA ARRAY WINDFARM LIMITED

North Irish Sea Array Windfarm Limited (NISA) is a pioneering offshore wind developer delivering a large‑scale renewable energy project off the coasts of Dublin, Meath and Louth. The venture, a joint partnership between Statkraft and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, aims to generate enough clean power to supply up to 500,000 Irish homes, bolstering the nation’s energy security while cutting annual CO₂ emissions by roughly half a million tonnes.

The project is designed for a maximum of 49 high‑capacity turbines and incorporates a robust community‑benefit programme, allocating around €4 million each year to local initiatives. From its inception in 2021, NISA has placed community engagement at the heart of its development, actively sharing design updates, gathering feedback and encouraging residents to shape the way the windfarm is delivered.
