Protecting Irish Patients Company Limited By Guarantee, operating as the Irish Patients Association, is a patient-focused charity dedicated to keeping the patient at the centre of Ireland's healthcare system. By listening to patients, families and carers, the Association identifies emerging needs and represents those interests to committees, working groups and public bodies, ensuring that patient voices shape policy and practice.

The Association's work spans several key areas. Its flagship Flunited campaign raises national awareness of flu vaccination for children aged 2-17, encouraging parents and guardians to join a collective effort to "give flu the red card". In addition, the IPA maintains a curated list of Irish support groups, providing everyday information and resources for patients and caregivers. Through its advocacy service, the Association acts as a go-between for anyone who feels they have not received adequate care, offering guidance and linking them to appropriate support networks. Services are available seven days a week, reflecting the IPA's commitment to accessible, continuous patient support.
