DROGHEDA BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT COMPANY LIMITED BY GUARANTEE

Love Drogheda Business Improvement District Company Limited by Guarantee is a non‑profit working group formed by over 1,550 Drogheda rate‑payers. After a successful BID proposal to Louth County Council in 2019, the organisation set out to make Drogheda a great place to work, live and socialise. It acts as the collective voice of the town’s business community, collaborating with the council and voluntary organisations to fund local improvements and enhance the town’s vibrancy.

The BID delivers a range of initiatives that benefit both traders and visitors. Key services include the “Shop Local” campaign, social‑media business spotlights, and the management of a ring‑fenced levy used exclusively for area‑wide projects such as public murals, events and the “Love Drogheda” gift‑card scheme (available up to €150 and redeemable at more than 175 retailers). By directing funding straight to the community, Love Drogheda ensures that local businesses decide and shape the improvements that matter most to them.
