TUISMITHEOIRÍ NA GAELTACHTA

Tuismitheoirí na Gaeltachta is a national organisation dedicated to supporting families who are raising their children through the Irish language in the Gaeltacht, as well as those who wish to increase the use of Irish at home. By offering practical advice, counselling and a network of resources, the group helps parents create a vibrant, Irish-speaking environment for their youngsters.

A cornerstone of their work is the Pacáiste Tacaíochta Teanga (PTT), a language-support package designed for families living in the Gaeltacht with children under five. Once families register with TnaG, they gain access to the PTT and further guidance on embedding Irish in daily life. The organisation also runs regular events, publishes news updates and a newsletter, and maintains a story archive that showcases the experiences of Gaeltacht families.

Serving communities across the Irish-speaking regions, Tuismitheoirí na Gaeltachta plays a vital role in nurturing the next generation of Irish speakers and strengthening the cultural fabric of the Gaeltacht.
