TWILIGHT COMMUNITY GROUP

Twilight Community Group is a Kilkenny-based community organisation dedicated to fostering social inclusion, cultural integration and personal advancement for all members of the local area. By partnering with sporting clubs, the Polish Embassy and a range of cultural partners, the group has built bridges between long-standing residents and newer nationalities, most notably the Polish diaspora, and has helped deliver the inaugural Polska Eire Festival across Dublin, Waterford, Cork, Kilkenny and Galway.

The organisation runs an International Youth Centre and a programme of European-funded projects that enable citizens of Kilkenny city, county and the South-East to travel "no charge" for cultural, heritage and artistic exchanges. Its flagship events include the annual Connecting Culture festival in November and a series of conferences addressing the stigmatisation of migrants and the promotion of an equal society for men, women, boys and girls of all backgrounds.

Through these activities, Twilight Community Group creates multicultural bonds, supports disadvantaged groups and champions a vibrant, inclusive community life throughout Ireland.
