Talamh Beo Company Limited by Guarantee is a democratically organised, member‑led network of Irish farmers, landworkers and citizens dedicated to food, fuel, fibre and soil sovereignty. Its core activity is building and maintaining a comprehensive database of local food producers across the island, enabling growers to register their farms, share what they produce and have their voices heard in the formation of agricultural policy. By gathering accurate, grassroots data, Talamh Beo shapes policy that supports sustainable, ecosystem‑friendly farming and ensures affordable, nutritious food for all.

The organisation runs a suite of projects that reflect its holistic vision: “Living from the Land”, “Local Food Policy”, “A CAP Fit for Purpose”, “Talamh Beo Women”, climate‑change and biodiversity initiatives, seed‑sovereignty programmes, food‑sovereignty and trade advocacy, and the EU‑funded Soil Biodiversity Literacy and Enhancement project. It also promotes members’ events, offers a platform for news and training, and collaborates with the global La Via Campesina movement and its European branch, ECVC.
