Mother Tongues, Minority and Heritage Language Association Company Limited By Guarantee is a pioneering Irish organisation that sits at the crossroads of the arts, language and cultural diversity. Established in 2017, it works to unlock the creative potential of multilingualism through high-quality, inclusive arts experiences that promote social cohesion, celebrate linguistic heritage and foster a sense of belonging for children, families and communities.

The charity delivers a suite of free, artistic multilingual workshops for families, alongside talks and one-to-one consultations that help parents raise bilingual children. Through its Language Explorers methodology, Mother Tongues trains bilingual artists and provides professional-development opportunities, while also bringing the programme into primary schools across Ireland, equipping teachers and educators with the tools to nurture linguistic curiosity. Its flagship initiatives include the Language Explorers programme - a vibrant space for children to explore their heritage - and the Mother Tongues Festival, the nation's largest celebration of linguistic diversity through the arts.

Consistently funded by the Arts Council of Ireland and South Dublin County Council, Mother Tongues engages parents, educators, artists and the wider public, inviting volunteers, sponsors and collaborators to join a movement that empowers every child through the power of art and language.
