DESIGN WEST INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL LIMITED

Design West International Summer School Limited runs an intensive two‑week design programme set against the rugged beauty of the Wild Atlantic Way. From 15 – 28 June 2024, the school brings together emerging designers and seasoned practitioners at the ATU Connemara campus in Letterfrack, Co. Galway, offering a unique blend of hands‑on making, research and reflection away from the pressures of the urban studio.

The curriculum is delivered by an international roster of mentors—including Thonik, Gail Anderson, and the Associate partners Brankica and Ken—who guide participants through visual communication, graphic identity, interaction, motion design and broader brand strategy. State‑of‑the‑art facilities such as CAD workstations, CNC machinery, laser cutters, robotics and digital prototyping tools enable students to realise both 2‑D and 3‑D concepts. By unplugging from everyday deadlines and immersing in the Connemara landscape, attendees gain fresh perspectives and develop a deeper sense of purpose as designers. Design West serves creative professionals and design students seeking an inspiring, collaborative environment to expand their skills and network.
