Franciscan Missionaries of the Divine Motherhood Company Limited by Guarantee is a charitable religious congregation rooted in Ireland since 1942. Drawing on a rich Franciscan heritage, the community serves people of all ages through a blend of health-care, spiritual, and social-justice ministries. Their work began with the establishment of Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe and now spans ten communities in Dublin, Ballinasloe, Killarney and Drogheda, where sisters and lay collaborators provide nursing, midwifery, and specialist care for children with special needs, as well as residential support for adults with physical and intellectual disabilities at St Mary of the Angels, Beaufort.

Beyond direct care, the congregation offers retreat programmes, pastoral accompaniment, counselling and psychotherapy, and active involvement in justice and peace initiatives - exemplified by Sister Bridget Tighe's leadership with Caritas International in the Middle East and the award-winning Blooms Garden project with Trócaire. Their spiritual outreach also includes the publication *The Sublime Tower*, a guide to contemplative prayer that reflects their commitment to fostering a deeper communion with the Divine.
