Clever Clogs ASD Preschool, founded by Joan Mitchell, is a specialist early‑years centre dedicated to children with autism spectrum disorder and other additional needs. Joan brings over a decade of experience as a Special Needs Teacher, is fully registered with the Teaching Council, Garda‑vetted, holds an MA in Writing and Literacy and is currently completing a part‑time MA in Special Needs. Her expertise spans non‑verbal communication, ADHD, autism and Asperger’s, ensuring each child receives a nurturing, personalised learning environment.

Based in Celbridge, the preschool offers a structured ASD curriculum complemented by on‑site occupational therapy and speech‑and‑language therapy, coordinated through the North Kildare Disability Team. Families are also supported with the Home Tuition Grant application process, with guidance on completing the form for submission to the local SENO.
