TURAS PRESS LIMITED

Turas Press is an independent Irish publisher founded in 2017 by Liz McSkeane. The press provides a dedicated platform for readers and writers embarking on a literary journey, specialising in contemporary poetry and literary fiction that is often experimental, socially engaged and accessible to a broad audience. Since its inception Turas Press has brought 26 titles from 15 writers to market, showcasing innovative voices through its Bookstore Gallery and detailed Writers Pages.

The company’s core services include the acquisition, editing and production of new works, as well as distribution through a network of independent bookshops across the country and an online store. Turas Press also nurtures a community of like‑minded readers and writers, offering pre‑orders for forthcoming titles such as Emma McKervey’s third poetry collection, a polyphonic odyssey that intertwines family history with the legacy of the Whitechapel Bell Foundry. While submissions are currently closed, the press plans to reopen its window in mid‑2026, inviting fresh talent to join its vibrant literary journey.
