THE IRISH JURIST DESIGNATED ACTIVITY COMPANY

The Irish Jurist Designated Activity Company (DAC) is the publishing arm behind Ireland’s longest‑standing academic law journal, *The Irish Jurist*. Based at the UCD Sutherland School of Law, University College Dublin, the DAC produces a bi‑annual, peer‑reviewed journal that covers the full spectrum of legal scholarship—from modern and historical jurisprudence to concise case notes, comments and book reviews.

The journal welcomes contributions from both Irish and international scholars, with a clear editorial aim to balance material of local relevance with comparative perspectives that enrich the Irish legal community. Each issue is available in hard copy and electronically, and back‑issues dating from 1966 are accessible via Westlaw, HeinOnline and JSTOR. In December 2022 the journal was accepted for coverage in Scopus, underscoring its academic rigour and international reach.
