The Down Syndrome Centre Cork Company Limited by Guarantee is a charitable organisation dedicated to helping young children with Down syndrome and their families thrive. Based in Cork, the centre delivers a comprehensive suite of early‑intervention services, including occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, physiotherapy, counselling, play therapy and specialised parent‑and‑baby classes. In addition to one‑to‑one support, the centre runs early‑intervention groups, sibling‑support sessions and a calendar of networking events that bring families together and foster a strong community spirit.

All of these programmes are made possible solely through the generosity of donors, corporate sponsors and volunteers, as the charity receives no government funding. By offering expert therapeutic care and a welcoming environment, the Down Syndrome Centre Cork enables over 180 families each year to access the resources they need to nurture their children’s development and confidence.
