Company Description
The National Youth Council of Ireland (NYCI) is the representative body for voluntary youth organisations across the island, using its collective expertise to champion issues that affect young people. By uniting more than 40 member organisations, NYCI builds solidarity in the youth sector and provides a strong voice in policy, advocacy and community campaigns.
NYCI delivers a suite of practical services, including accredited training courses, specialist resources and a range of thematic programmes such as Youth Arts, Child Protection, Equality & Intercultural, Global Youth Work, Youth Health, STEAM Engagement and Digital Youth Work. It also runs the "Local Champions" initiative, which empowers young people who have benefited from youth work to become advocates in their own communities. Membership offers access to committees, campaigns and a network of peers, while its news and events keep the sector informed of funding opportunities and emerging best practice.
Based in Ireland and operating largely remotely, NYCI serves youth workers, volunteers and organisations committed to improving the lives, health and futures of young people throughout the country.
