Company Description
The Irish Academy of Management (IAM) is the premier professional association for scholars, researchers and educators in organisation and management studies across the island of Ireland. Founded in 1997 by a collective of academic staff and postgraduate students, the Academy now boasts a diverse membership of over 300 individuals and operates as a charitable body. Its core mission is to advance research, knowledge and education in management, fostering an inclusive community that champions responsible business practice, high-quality scholarship and open, respectful debate.
IAM delivers a vibrant programme of events, most notably its flagship Annual Conference - the 2026 edition will be hosted by the University of Limerick - alongside a series of cross-academy and special interest group (SIG) gatherings throughout the year. Members stay informed via a regular newsletter and benefit from a network of institutional partners, as well as access to key strategic documents such as the Academy's 2020-2025 strategy and Code of Ethics. By connecting scholars, practitioners and the wider business community, IAM plays a pivotal role in shaping national and international conversations on the science and practice of management.
