By championing community‑owned generation and distribution schemes, KSEC aims to give everyone the chance to take part in an affordable, renewable future while also delivering economic benefits that extend beyond the environment.

The group’s core activities centre on member‑led projects. Their flagship Killorglin Energy Master Plan analyses residential and commercial energy use, provides a register of opportunities and outlines practical steps to boost efficiency across the town. In addition, KSEC runs a sustainable firewood delivery scheme, allowing members to source locally produced wood for winter heating. All initiatives are designed to empower local residents, businesses and community groups to become active participants in Kerry’s transition to sustainable energy.
