Wicklow Cheviot Sheep Owners’ Association Company Limited by Guarantee is a farmer‑led organisation based in the rugged mountain pastures of County Wicklow, Ireland. Its core mission is two‑fold: to breed and market pure‑bred, registered Wicklow Cheviot ewes and rams through the Wicklow Cheviot Sheep Breeders Society, and to help members boost the profitability of farms that keep Wicklow Cheviots or their crosses.

The association draws on the unique qualities of the Wicklow Mountain breed – extreme hardiness, natural resistance to foot‑rot and other common diseases, and prolific, excellent‑nursing ewes – to offer a premium genetic resource for commercial flocks. In addition, the group represents hundreds of sheep farmers in commercial and lobbying activities, providing advice, market support and advocacy that enhance the economic sustainability of their enterprises.
