OPPORTUNITY KNOX CHARITY

Opportunity Knox Charity CLG is a no-overheads organisation dedicated to breaking the cycle of grinding poverty in Tiira Village, an artisanal gold-mining community in eastern Uganda. By guaranteeing that 100 % of public donations go straight to the children's welfare, the charity ensures that vulnerable pupils receive a complete education without any financial barrier.

The charity's core services include fully paid school fees, daily porridge lunches, uniforms and essential scholastic materials. Recognising that learning thrives in a stable environment, Opportunity Knox also provides holistic support such as emergency food aid, medical care, sanitary pads for girls, roof repairs and latrine construction. A flagship Phonics Reading Programme builds lasting literacy skills for more than 1,500 local children, helping them master reading and lay the foundations for future success.

Through these targeted initiatives, Opportunity Knox creates a sustainable, community-focused pathway out of poverty, giving the poorest children in Tiira Village the chance to learn, grow and achieve their full potential.
