ASTHMA SOCIETY OF IRELAND

The Asthma Society of Ireland is a national charity dedicated to helping people live well with asthma. Through its free Asthma Adviceline and WhatsApp service, the Society provides personalised support from specialist asthma nurses, handling over 38,000 calls and 44,000 messages each year. It also supplies a wealth of practical resources-including guides on signs and symptoms, triggers, medication, exercise, children's asthma and hay-fever-plus an Asthma Action Plan template that many users discuss with their GP.

In addition to one-to-one advice, the Society runs regular webinars, community workshops and a monthly newsletter that keep members up-to-date with the latest care advances and self-management tips. Its advocacy work highlights preventable asthma deaths and campaigns for better access to gold-standard treatment. By offering expert guidance, educational material and a supportive network, the Asthma Society of Ireland empowers individuals and families across the country to manage their condition confidently and safely.
