Kerry Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Kerry SPCA) is the sole registered animal-welfare charity operating across County Kerry. Providing a 24-hour, 365-day service, the society runs a dedicated shelter for neglected and injured animals and deploys a team of cruelty inspectors who investigate and follow up on reports of animal abuse throughout the county.

The organisation's core activities include rescuing distressed animals, offering emergency ambulance transport, and delivering hands-on care in its shelter. All work is carried out by a committed volunteer workforce, supported by donations, flag-day collections and church-gate contributions. Key partners such as AXA (vehicle insurance) and Randles (ambulance sponsorship) help sustain the service. In addition to direct rescue work, Kerry SPCA runs an informative website featuring news, before-and-after stories, educational resources, and a regularly updated blog that gives a day-to-day insight into its operations.
