Company Description
Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind is a national charity dedicated to empowering people with visual impairment and other disabilities to live independently and confidently. By pairing highly trained dogs with individuals, the organisation helps clients navigate daily life, access education, work and community spaces, and enjoy greater freedom.
The charity offers a range of specialised programmes: Guide Dogs provide mobility and safety for those who are vision-impaired; Assistance Dogs support children and families, helping to manage behaviour and improve quality of life; Community Dogs are trained for placements in schools and other public settings. Complementary services include Independent Living Skills training, Orientation & Mobility support, and Advocacy to ensure clients' rights are respected under Irish equality legislation. Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind also relies on public generosity, offering opportunities to donate, sponsor a pup, volunteer as a puppy raiser or temporary carer, and fundraise through schools, workplaces and local branches.
