Galway Centre for Independent Living (GCIL) is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to enabling adults with physical or sensory disabilities to live independently in their own homes and take part fully in community life. Drawing on more than three decades of experience, GCIL offers a suite of person-centred, flexible services that place the individual's wishes and choices at the heart of every care plan.

Key specialisations include Private Home Care and Home Care, both designed to adapt to the client's daily routine; high-quality Personal Assistant provision, a cornerstone of independent living; Educational Support Assistants for students with disabilities across Galway City and County; and a fleet of four fully accessible vehicles available for routine or one-off journeys. In addition, GCIL provides Access Consultancy to help businesses make their premises accessible to the disabled community. All staff are fully vetted and Garda-cleared, ensuring a safe, professional service.
