Friends of Ainmhithe Company Limited By Guarantee is a small, independent animal sanctuary that has been rescuing abandoned and neglected animals in County Mayo, in the West of Ireland, since 1998. Operating under a strict no-kill policy, the organisation provides long-term care for each animal until a suitable, permanent home can be found, ensuring that no resident is ever rushed out of the sanctuary.

The sanctuary's work is supported through a range of community-focused initiatives. A dedicated online shop offers a variety of products, with all proceeds directly funding the care of the animals. In addition, Ainmhithe runs regular food-fundraising campaigns to help meet the rising costs of feeding its residents, and it maintains an active re-homing programme for dogs, inviting prospective owners to give a rescued dog a forever home.

As a registered charity (CHY 19682), Friends of Ainmhithe relies on the generosity of donors and volunteers, and it continues to champion compassionate animal welfare throughout the region.
