Company Description
Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team (DWMRT) is a volunteer-run emergency service that operates 24 hours a day, every day, to respond to incidents in the upland areas of Dublin, Wicklow and Louth. Founded in 1984 and now based in Roundwood, Co Wicklow, the team is made up of around 60 highly-trained rescuers from all walks of life who share a passion for the outdoors and a commitment to delivering a professional-standard rescue service.
The organisation provides rapid response to mountain and hill emergencies, offering search-and-rescue assistance, first-aid care and safe evacuation for walkers, climbers and anyone caught in adverse conditions. In addition to its core rescue work, DWMRT runs three annual events that promote safety awareness, training and community involvement, and it welcomes new volunteers who wish to join its ranks.
Through its dedicated volunteers and year-round availability, DWMRT plays a vital role in safeguarding the upland communities and visitors across the Dublin-Wicklow-Louth region.
