Epilepsy Alliance Europe (EAE) is a not-for-profit organisation founded under the auspices of the International League Against Epilepsy and the International Bureau for Epilepsy. Its core mission is to make epilepsy a health priority across Europe by protecting the rights of people with epilepsy, improving standards of care, raising public awareness and fostering cutting-edge research into epilepsy and its comorbidities.

EAE delivers a suite of pan-European programmes that address the full spectrum of the condition. The e-pilepsy initiative raises awareness of epilepsy surgery for drug-resistant focal epilepsy, while ESBACE (European Study on the Burden and Care of Epilepsy) works to ensure high-quality, equitable care in every EU country. The EpiCARE network provides specialised diagnostics and treatment for rare and complex epilepsies, and the Value of Treatment project quantifies the socio-economic benefits of interventions. In partnership with the RADAR-CNS research programme, EAE explores how smartphones and wearable devices can enhance wellbeing for people with epilepsy, multiple sclerosis or depression. The organisation also supports a European Advocates for Epilepsy Working Group of cross-party MEPs, and collaborates with a broad range of partners to drive policy, education and research forward.
