Funded by its producer members – both new‑ and used‑vehicle importers – ELVES ensures that cars and small vans are disposed of responsibly through a network of authorised treatment facilities (ATFs).

The core service offered to the public is a simple, three‑step process: locate a certified recycler via the ELVES online tool, deliver (or arrange collection of) the vehicle, and receive an official Certificate of Destruction confirming that the car has been dismantled in line with Irish and EU environmental regulations.
