EROSION CONTROL PROTECTION SOLUTIONS LIMITED

Erosion Control Protection Solutions Limited (ECPS) is an Irish specialist in coastal and river-bank protection, delivering the patented ECAB (Erosion Control Armoured Block) system. The ECAB is a purpose-designed concrete block that interlocks with its neighbours to form a robust revetment capable of dissipating wave energy and safeguarding vulnerable shorelines. Developed in the 1990s and refined through recent research at the Marine and Renewable Energy Institute (MaREI) in University College Cork, the system has proven its resilience in extreme Atlantic storms, notably during Storm Ophelia in 2017.

ECPS supplies the full suite of services required for ECAB projects - from detailed design and engineering, through to manufacturing, installation and post-construction monitoring. Their installations span the south and west of the country, with notable revetments at Garretstown (Kinsale, Co. Cork), Kilbegnet (Gorey, Co. Wexford), Laytown (Co. Meath), Tawin Point (Co. Galway) and Elly Bay (Co. Mayo). The company's work is recognised by local authorities and industry bodies, and its environmentally sensitive designs blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape.
