LIMERICK LOCAL SPORTS PARTNERSHIP LIMITED

Limerick Local Sports Partnership Limited (LSP) is an inter‑agency, multi‑sector organisation dedicated to “Getting Limerick Active”. Established as a limited company, its Board of Directors brings together representatives from statutory bodies, community groups and voluntary organisations, all working to boost sport participation across the city and its surrounding areas.

LSP offers a wide‑ranging portfolio of services for clubs, schools, workplaces and the wider public. It runs the Active Hub – a resource centre packed with ideas for staying fit at home – and organises regular programmes and events such as aqua‑aerobics, beginner swim lessons, teenage‑girls fitness sessions and the MoveWell health‑and‑wellbeing courses. The partnership also supports clubs through registration, funding advice (including the Community Sports Facilities Fund), and specialist inclusion initiatives covering disability sport, women in sport, men’s shed activities and senior‑friendly programmes. In addition, LSP delivers safeguarding workshops, educational courses and community‑led walks each Tuesday.

Based in Limerick, the partnership has helped the city achieve Global Active City status and will host the European Sport for All Games in 2026, underscoring its commitment to making sport accessible, enjoyable and inclusive for everyone.
