StepIn Supported Living Networks Company Limited By Guarantee is an Irish charity that creates small, community-based networks for adults with disabilities who wish to live independently in their own homes. Drawing on a proven UK model, StepIn's first network opened in Athlone and a second is being established in Roscommon, where the organisation's central office is based.

Each network brings together up to ten members - nine adults with support needs and a community-living volunteer - who live in dispersed housing within walking distance of one another. This proximity enables members to offer one another everyday assistance, take part in regular network meetings and engage actively in local community life. By combining personal support with the economic advantages of shared resources, StepIn helps members enjoy a more fulfilled, participative lifestyle than traditional residential care typically allows.

StepIn's approach is built on "positive assumptions": that people with support needs can and will live more independently, support each other, and contribute meaningfully to their neighbourhoods. The charity welcomes new members and care organisations interested in establishing additional networks across Ireland.
