CAMPAIGN FOR RESPONSIBLE RODENTICIDE USE IRELAND COMPANY LIMITED BY GUARANTEE

Campaign for Responsible Rodenticide Use Ireland (CRRU) is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee that champions safer, wildlife-friendly rodent control across the food chain. Responding to growing consumer demand for high-quality, safe food and to government concerns about accidental exposure of protected species such as barn owls, kestrels and red kites, CRRU promotes the "Think Wildlife" ethos and encourages all users of rodenticides to adopt the CRRU Code of best practice.

The organisation's core activity is the development, dissemination and advocacy of responsible rodenticide use guidelines. By working closely with the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, the National Parks and Wildlife Service and BirdWatch Ireland, CRRU provides expert guidance to growers, food processors, supermarkets and pest-control professionals, helping them achieve stringent food-safety standards while minimising harm to wildlife. Its network of full-member companies-including BASF Ireland, Bell Laboratories, LODI UK Ltd., PelGar and Syngenta Crop Protection AG-strengthens the campaign's reach and impact throughout Ireland.
