FOODCLOUD

FoodCloud is a Dublin-based social enterprise that tackles food waste by connecting surplus food from producers, retailers and manufacturers with charities, community groups and other frontline organisations. Through its award-winning digital platform, Foodiverse, FoodCloud enables donors to list excess stock in real-time, while partner hubs across Ireland and abroad coordinate collection and redistribution, turning surplus into meals for those in need.

Key services include the FoodCloud Hubs network, which facilitates local food donations, and the FoodCloud Academy, offering research, workshops and toolkits to help organisations reduce waste and meet sustainability goals. The platform also supports corporate and workplace volunteering, community-led food programmes, and funding partnerships such as with AIB. Since its launch, FoodCloud has rescued over 33,000 tonnes of food, delivering the equivalent of 79 million meals across six countries and avoiding nearly 445,000 tonnes of CO₂-equivalent emissions.

By uniting donors, volunteers and community partners, FoodCloud creates a scalable, zero-waste food system that contributes directly to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and a future where no good food goes to waste.
