Limerick City Build (Regen) Company Limited By Guarantee is a Limerick-based training academy dedicated to creating sustainable employment pathways for economically marginalised and socially excluded people in the city. By re-thinking how skills are taught and how long-term unemployed and ex-offenders are supported, LCB delivers a dynamic, trauma-informed curriculum that blends hands-on construction training with personal and professional development.

The academy offers a suite of accredited courses covering health and safety, plant and tool operation, and specialist trades such as tiling, carpentry, blockwork and electrical theory. Each programme is designed in partnership with the Construction Industry Federation, Limerick City Council and local third-level institutions, ensuring graduates possess the most in-demand skills. Complementary workshops on emotional intelligence, anger management and community development help participants build the confidence and resilience needed for lasting employment. LCB also provides an incubation hub for budding entrepreneurs and collaborates with the University of Limerick, Limerick Institute of Technology and Mary Immaculate College to facilitate further study and business start-ups, including a unique barge restoration project that will become a floating hospitality venue.
