GLOBAL PEACE FOUNDATION - IRELAND

Global Peace Foundation - Ireland is a non-profit organisation dedicated to peace-building, conflict resolution and community development through a multi-cultural, value-based approach. Since opening its Irish office in May 2013, the foundation has acted as the European hub for a network that now spans 15 countries, with its headquarters in Washington, DC. Its core activity is the design and delivery of exchange programmes that bring together community leaders, business executives and university students to share best practice in building harmonious societies.

A recent flagship project saw a delegation of South Korean community leaders visit St Munchin's Community Centre in Limerick, where they observed inter-generational initiatives that fostered cooperation between young and elderly residents. The programme included cultural tours, workshops with organisations such as Corporation Ireland, and high-level meetings at the Korean Embassy and the Parliament in Belfast. By facilitating these exchanges, Global Peace Foundation - Ireland helps both Irish and international partners develop practical models for social cohesion, economic recovery and lasting peace.
