Deadpan Pictures is an award-winning television production company that specialises in drama infused with humour. Run by Ailish McElmeel and International Emmy-winner Paul Donovan, the firm operates from offices in Dublin and Belfast, creating high-quality scripted series for broadcasters and streaming platforms across Ireland, the UK and beyond.

In 2024/25 the company delivered 18 hours of new drama, including the record-breaking series *Irish Blood* (starring Alicia Silverstone) for AMC's Acorn TV, the period thriller *This is not a Murder Mystery* for Studio Canal and Belgium's New 8, the family-friendly *Showkids* for RTÉ and Madgic, and the darkly comic horror *Video Nasty* for BBC, Virgin Media Television, WDR and BoatRocker. Deadpan is already green-lit for a second season of *Irish Blood* and is scripting a follow-up to *Video Nasty*.
