Company Description
The Irish Stammering Association is a national charity dedicated to supporting people who stammer across Ireland. By offering a wide range of programmes, it creates safe spaces for individuals of all ages to connect, learn and thrive. Regular support groups, age-specific online calls and community walks provide opportunities for peer interaction, while specialised initiatives such as the Minecraft Club let younger members have fun together in a relaxed, digital environment.
The organisation also delivers targeted resources for education, employment and parental guidance, helping students, teachers, job-seekers and families build confidence in everyday settings. Creative expression is encouraged through ISAYiT! - drama workshops and performances designed for children who stammer - and the Speaker Series, a regular talk programme hosted by Stephen Greene. In addition, the "Stammering: A Life Less Ordinary" podcast, presented by Bevin Murphy and Stephen Greene, offers insightful interviews and conversations about living with a stammer.
Through these diverse services, the Irish Stammering Association fosters a supportive community, promotes stammering pride via Bróid Stadaireachta, and works to ensure that everyone who stammers can access the tools and connections they need to lead fulfilling lives.
