The Irish Learning Technology Association (ILTA) is an independent, voluntary community of over 1,800 professionals dedicated to advancing technology-enhanced learning across Ireland's higher education, further education, training providers, industry vendors and government agencies. By fostering the exchange of expertise and best practice, ILTA supports educators, researchers and technologists in creating richer, more engaging learning experiences.

Key initiatives include the annual EdTech 2026 conference-hosted this year by Dublin City University-offering two days of workshops, keynotes and networking for anyone interested in the future of educational technology. ILTA also publishes the Irish Journal of Technology Enhanced Learning, an open-access, peer-reviewed interdisciplinary journal that promotes scholarly excellence and encourages emerging researchers to share their work. Through strategic partnerships with organisations such as ALT (UK), CESI and JISC, ILTA connects the Irish EdTech community to a broader national and international ecosystem. Membership is open to all stakeholders keen to shape the direction of learning technology in Ireland.
