Friends of St. Hilda's Company Limited By Guarantee is a community-driven voluntary organisation that has been supporting people with intellectual disabilities since 1964. Based in Athlone, the charity delivers a comprehensive, quality service to more than 120 individuals and their families, placing the care and wellbeing of service users at the heart of everything it does.

The organisation's distinctive governance - largely composed of parents and family members - ensures that person-centred planning drives every decision. St Hilda's Services offers day-to-day support that focuses on discovering each person's likes, skills and aspirations, matching these to meaningful activities that build confidence, relationships and, where possible, lasting roles. Staff work in close partnership with families, maintaining open communication to address concerns and to continually refine the support offered. This collaborative, strengths-based approach underpins St Hilda's commitment to helping each individual lead a good, fulfilling life.
