Galway Steiner Childcare Company Limited By Guarantee operates the Galway Steiner Kindergarten, a community-run, non-profit early years setting that opened its doors in September 2012. Managed voluntarily by a committee of parents, the kindergarten provides a socially inclusive environment for children aged 2¾ to 6 years, offering both full-day (09:00-14:00) and part-time (09:00-12:00) options.

The centre participates in the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) scheme, delivering subsidised pre-school places to eligible families, and also accesses the Community Care Subvention (CCS) programme to support low-income households. Most children attend five days a week, with flexible arrangements available on request, and the service follows the standard school calendar, closing over the summer months.

Priority for enrolment is given to siblings of former attendees, with any remaining places allocated on a first-in-first-served basis. Galway Steiner Kindergarten is dedicated to nurturing curiosity and creativity through the Steiner approach, ensuring every child receives a warm, supportive start to their educational journey.
